This place is AMAZING! The owner Donny is cool, well mannered, and caring to customers. He greets everyone with a smile and a firm handshake. The seats are extremely comfortable and the tables were clean. The Mac 'n' Cheese Bacon pizza I had was worth the $5.99 price by far. Overall, it was a great experience and I'm mad that it took me two years to come here. I've always seen it driving by, but never stopped in. This is an amazing New York style joint.
Came upon Nonna’s by mistake and man are we so happy we stopped. This is TRUE NEW YORK STYLE PIZZA!! Many options to purchase by the slice or order a whole pizza . Also, there large pizza is huge!! We ordered our favorite normal toppings large pizza to go. We did get one slice to try and eat on the road, everything was SO GOOD!! While waiting I had a Bloody Mary since I was the passage and it was made to perfection!! Planning to go back and try some of those different type’s of pizza slices!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND NONNA’S!!!! Owner and staff made us feel very welcomed!!
We tried Nonna's for the first time today for lunch. We will definitely be back. The pizza was great, and about $5 a slice for a New York style pizza slice. Lots of pizzas on hand to choose from, a good mix of classics as well as some more eccentric flavors. Crust was great, cheese was great, sauce was great. Thanks for the awesome lunch!
Most excellent pizza that you can do one slice ready to go or order a whole pie. They also have the best buffalo wings in Iowa. Always great service and nice humble people working there. Great New York style pizza. A very nice bar with wonderful drink selections. The outside patio is nice for a summer date or party.
My husband and I recently visited this restaurant, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, and the bartender was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. You could truly tell that Donnie is grateful for every single person who walks through those doors, and that kind of hospitality makes all the difference.
This place was amazing! We ordered a pasta, a salad, the Philly cheesesteak, and a deep dish square pizza. Everything was delightful. The crust and sauce on the pizza was flavorful and delicious. The crust was crisp on the bottom but flaky and tender on the inside. And the sauce was bold and bright. A real treat. We ordered too much but will have leftovers for days. And they were so helpful in getting everything packed up for us so it would fit in our hotel mini fridge. We will be making this a stop anytime we are in the area. Thank you for a wonderful lunch.
Wow! Don't sleep on Nonas Pizza!!! If your looking for what everyone (at least me)likes in a pizza, it's right here in Ankeny Iowa! The Pizza is delicious, crispy thin New York style! The staff is super friendly and engaging. Oh and a fantastic price too! Come get yourself some!!
I love the atmosphere and the customers are here. Slices a bit pricey $$$. Two slices with drinks $15. I would come again but on select occasions.
Great food and legit portions. Great people working there and service has always been fantastic. Always friendly and if you go somewhat often they remember you and get to know you. 💖 Real casual atmosphere. Pizza by the slice area is awesome, especially for a great quick bite. I can not recommend this place more. Would visit much more often if I was closer. 👍🏻
They have amazing spinach dip. I have never had anything like this dip. It is completely different from your typical frozen spinach & artichoke dip and it is served with amazing bread. I got the vodka penne with chicken and it was very good and a huge portion. We haven't tried the pizza but it looks amazing and you can buy it by the slice (and they are large slices). The staff was so friendly and joked around with us. We will definitely be back again.
